Life Care Center of Waynesville really cares...
Nursing Care may seem too suggestive to ones that have either worked their whole life, filled with memories and experiences. At times, it may be overwhelming for the elderly adult to consider having a caretaker, doing just that, take care of them.
The professional support team of Life Care Center of Waynesville recognizes that every elderly adult has unique needs, goals, and abilities. By working closely with them and his or her family, the staff develops an individualized care plan. The plan is periodically reevaluated to ensure that it meets the elderly's changing care needs.
A licensed staff offers 24-hour skilled nursing care. The staff provides close medical supervision, which may include assistance supervision, which may include assistance with dressing, bathing, walking, eating and administration of medication.
Life Care Center of Waynesville has many other professional medical and caretaking services.
Rehabilitation: Inpatient and outpatient therapy including physical therapy, speech and hearing therapy, occupational therapy, and respiratory therapy.
Alzheimer's Care: A 54-bed special care unit, fully-secured for Alzheimer's/dementia residents in the area. And Life Care Center of Waynesville is the only care provider in the area to have such a special care unit.
Respite Care: Short-term care is provided for individuals who need assistance while their primary caregiver is on vacation or temporarily unable to provide home care. The participants receive the same care as do the residents.
Adult Day Services: On weekdays, Life Care Center of Waynesville offers an adult day program for both ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals who are cared for at home. Hot meals, snacks through out the day are provided and individuals are encouraged to take part in a variety of activities geared to their abilities and interests.
Included all their special care at Life Care Center of Waynesville, the elderly experience daily activities, dining, security and accommodations. In the following months, Ozarks Local will elaborate on these activities and services provided by Life Care Center of Waynesville.
